Mount Fuji Japan

Mount Fuji is located in the country of Japan. It is the tallest mountain in the country reaching a height of 12,388 feet (3,776 m). The mountain is near the border of Shizouka and Yamanashi which are west of Tokyo. This iconic mountain can be seen from Tokyo on a clear day.

Mount Fuji is one of the most recognizable and notable mountains from around the world. It is most notably known for its symmetrical cone shape which is often covered in snow making for a beautiful scene from across Lake Kawaguchi. This view on calm clear days may deliver a reflective view of the mountain in the lake making for a spectacular photograph or view of the mountain.

The mountain is surrounded by five lakes which include: Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Sai, Lake Yamanaka, Lake Motosu, and Lake Shoji. The mountain is protected by Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park.
